Investing in Tomorrow’s Skilled Workforce
The AHRI Rees Scholarship Foundation has been supporting the next generation of HVACR professionals for more than two decades. Through its scholarship program, the foundation supports students pursuing careers in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration by helping make education more accessible and affordable.
Supported by contributions from AHRI member companies, the foundation has awarded more than $1.1 million in scholarships to more than 900 students since 2003. These scholarships are available to qualified individuals enrolled in accredited HVACR programs, providing meaningful financial assistance to help offset the cost of tuition, tools, and other educational expenses.
Scholarship recipients can receive up to $2,000 to help cover educational expenses. In addition, awardees receive a free NATE Ready-to-Work exam, giving students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and strengthen their resumes before entering the workforce.
For students considering a future in the skilled trades, opportunities like the AHRI Rees Scholarship can make a significant difference. By easing financial burdens, these scholarships empower aspiring technicians to focus on building the technical expertise and hands-on skills needed for long-term career success.
Applications are accepted year-round, with review deadlines of May 1 for the spring semester and September 1 for the fall semester.
At NATE, we’re proud to support programs that open doors for future technicians and strengthen the HVACR industry as a whole. Whether you’re already enrolled in a training program or exploring a career in the trades, resources like the AHRI Rees Scholarship Foundation can help you take the next step toward achieving your goals.
