Contractors Can Host NATE Testing

HVACR contractors can administer NATE exams for staff technicians at your convenience, as an approved NATE Testing Organization. This means as the weather or your business needs change, you can host testing at the time that works best for your and your staff. Contractors may become a NATE Testing Organization if they meet the following criteria in addition to those described in the NATE Testing Organization and Proctor Guidelines:

1. Must have at least 5 technicians on staff
2. Must have an individual outside of the service department and who does not have hiring, firing or supervisor responsibilities over the technicians who will act as the proctor for the exams (i.e. an administrative assistant) Click here for the proctor application
3. Must agree to conduct at least one (1) test session per calendar year

Advertise NATE to Your Customers

According to a survey by Decision Analyst Inc., 90 percent of consumers prefer a certified HVACR technician over a non-certified technician to service their heating and cooling systems. It is no surprise that consumers want a job done right the first time. Call-backs are not only expensive to you and inconvenient to your customers, they can undermine the relationships with your customers you have worked so hard to establish. Do not let an inexperienced, non-certified technician put your business at risk. A NATE-certified technician will do the job right the first time.

Use the resources below to let your customers know you employ NATE certified technicians. You can find additional resources at the NATE store. You must currently employ at least one NATE-certified technician in order to use the NATE logo and materials.
