North American Technician Excellence

Consumers look to utilities for knowledgeable advice on the most efficient and safest ways to heat and cool their homes and businesses. Because NATE-certified technicians have proven their knowledge in the proper installation and service of HVACR equipment, customers enjoy efficient heating and cooling systems which helps you achieve energy goals.

Certifications are available for Residential/Light Commercial Installation and Service technicians working on cooling equipment of 35 tons or less, and heating equipment of 400,000 BTU’s or less.  These certifications are:

  • Air Conditioning Systems
  • Air Distribution Systems
  • Gas Heating Systems (both Furnaces and Hydronic)
  • Heat Pump Systems
  • Oil Heating Systems both (Furnaces and Hydronic)

Many utilities from coast to coast have designed rebate programs that require contractors to employ certified NATE technicians. See examples profiled below.
